    M17x R1 best ram?

    im getting my list ready, and I'm wondering what ram is great for my m17x R1 laptop.

    Specs again i have:

    Intel Core Extreme CPU Q9300
    Atm i have DDR3 with 6GB of ram

    Also I would like one that would allow me if any more overclocking better situations. Like I heard that if ram isn't that good then the overclocking may be unstable?

    Hope you can help me out and explain if I said anything wrong.

    well your CPU has 1333Mhz FSB, so I think you can support upto 1333Mhz DDR3 rams, how much, that I don't know, I think it maybe 8GB max (16GB back in 2008 was server kind of memory...)

    Yes, you can put 2 sticks of 4Gb(each) inside of 1333Mhz, anything above will be downclocked to 1333Mhz.
    I had a kit of Kingston HyperX in mine because they were cheap and always had good experience with kingaton memory.

    Does ReadyBoost help? I've read somewhere, something about it, and it kinda confused me. Some said it helps your HDD, and others said ram.

    Kingston HyperX ram and yes don't post in another thread the same question, the R1/R2 can only go up to 8 gigs of 1333mhz ram and no further.
