    Yo whats up.

So when I unplug my m17x from the AC adapter, is there a way to make it so i have my SLI on all the time and not use the integrated GPU. I wanna have high performance even when im not plugged into the AC adapter

    Thanks in advance

which version of the Video driver do you have? the newer drivers allow you to manually change GPU's :)

I have found that the only way to achieve this is to unplug the AC while the lappy is actually on & has the discrete GPU's activated. It will then run the discretes until the battery is exhausted. About 45 mins or so in DVD playback probably less if gaming hard. The other option is to put the system to sleep (NOT hibernate) and when it wakes up the discrete cards should remain enabled. Any powerup that goes through the BIOS will cause the discrete cards to shut down. Can't speak to nic's suggestion....I'll have to give that one a try!
