    Hi everyone,

    Was just wondering what were your highest and lowest fan RPM readings? Cheers.

    So far I have recorded;
    Only seems to show my CPU fan readings, I have no GPU fan readings. No sensors or something perhaps?

    min 1997rpm
    max 3870rpm (sounded like a JET engine taking off LOL) :eek: :D
    new max of 4128 RPM

    I don't think there's a program that properly reads fan RPM on these laptops.

    I'd like to know which program you are using.

    I'm using HWiNFO32. Using the sensors tab that is next to benchmark. Cheers.

    I also use HWinfo32, but the fan readings are not correct. According to the program, my fans are spinning at 1,997RPM, but my cards are cold. No heat is coming out the two rear vents.

    Mine reads the same value at min. Do you get to see CPU fans and the 2 GPU fan speeds as well? I think i've seen in some other pics last time that the R2 has 3 fan sensors or something? Cheers.

    I don't think i've ever seen or heard my fans not spinning. Their always spinning even when i think their not i flip the notebook over to have a look and there they are spinning still.

    Are there any other programs that read fan sensor speeds or something?

    Make sure to use the latest HWiNFO32 (currently Beta) to see the fan speeds (under the Alienware sensor).

    hwinfo fan readings are correct, fans never stop on the R2. even if the cards are cold i can hear the fans spinning if i put my ear next to the fans.
    I too thought that the fans are stopped when the cpu and gpus are cold but this is in fact not the case.
