    M17x R1 screen dimmer won't work

    My screen is stuck on full brightness and it is hurting my eyes.. The FN+F4/ F5 stopped working long ago but next to the clock in power settings I could use the slider and lower/ raise the brightness.. I recently updated my video driver and since then it has not worked.. Shutdown and restart isn't fixing this. Anyone know how to fix this? My eyes thank you in advance.
