Hi guys! First post, I apologize for anything in advance!

I got my m17x 2 years ago, recently it has started to have some unknown error.

When I boot the laptop 9 times out of 10 the screen is going trough the red green blue white back cycle some times not even a single thing on the screen (can not see BIOS) just a brownish color. It works fine on an external monitor.

When ever I boot up any program (3ds max photoshop unity any development program as such) the screen creates strange geometric lines and shapes with a hint of red green blue ect.. then it might snap back to the program now and then but when it does the screen is blurry and fuzzy (hard to explain this) Any and all installed games blue screen the machine. I believe this is hardware failure of some kind. What should I do?

Latest AMD drivers for the Redeon HD5870.

I do believe there is hardware failure of some kind.
Drivers dont boot until windows starts. my screen is having issues the second i start the machine so the possibly of driver issue i believe can be ruled out. The machine works fine on an external monitor but as i said applications blue screen the machine after about 2 mins of using it

LCD or GPU issue. Most likely GPU, but I wouldn't rule out the LCD as you don't have the same issues on any external display, no?

What happens if you try to run those programs on an external LCD?
