I just did a Mx-4 repaste on my M17x r1 and did each and every step very carefully, and applied very little pea method paste.
Now, after completely assembling it thrice it isn't booting up at all.
Like, after I connect the Power A/C it gives nothing. No response at ALL!
Please help PLEASE! I've an exam on monday and have all my assignments up there.

Sorry to ask the ' is-it-plugged-in'-question, but ... didn't skip the screw-lock thingy? Omitted to do that myself a few times :vboops: ...

Also, attempt bios reset; remove battery/ac and cmos battery, hold power button for ~10 sec., re-assemble and reboot. If you're in a hurry and have a different system; just remove hdd and use it via a usb adapter for the time being.

Clean the entire area with solvent.
The paste you using could be conductive causing short so clean thoroughly.
Try to use minimal paste and check cpu and gpu are inserted correctly and no connectors loose etc.
    Good luck.

The keyboard ribbon wasn't inserted correctly, and because of that I broke my power button ribbon lock and damaged the ribbon too :'(
however, I made a temporary fix. But it'll trouble me if I happen to dissemble the rig :(
Also, I had to keep moving the Keyboard LED ribbon, to make em work :\
