    Hey Guys,

So got a little problem with my laptop here.
Seems like the computer don't recognizes my AC Power in any way only the battery.
I have not tried anything so far, since I do not have a clue what could be the issue.
This is the only problem that the repaste gave me, no flashing icon no nothing just power problem.
    Any ideas to fix this?

    Thanks :)

Man, sorry to hear that you have problems BUT this issue was explained so many times, why just not google it ?

First step, learn how to use google, second step, search similar problems on this forum.

    quick solutions may be:

    ''do a power drain''
    "update your BIOS"

Thanks for the help flingin but my problem is a little different.
My charger works just fine but the computer just dosent responds.
I cant charge the computer and I can't use the charger just to power the computer.
Only the battery works, and without it i cant boot.
The powerdrain solution did not work. I belive that it only solves the "not charging problem"
and I am running Bios version A09 but since I don't have enough juice on the battery to try out the A10 version I don't know what to do.
Any other possible solutions the links you have shared did not exactly state any other easy fixes.
    Thanks

Any charging at all? If yo uleave it for a while shut down it shouild charge a little bit, it wont accept full power without the 'handshake' which occurs since there is a chip to authenticate the charger, this is known to go bad.

How are you sure the ac adapter is fine? it might be the faulty chip/handshake so it won't take power when switched on.

Might be worth getting another power adapter if you can, chapeaer than a motherboard replacement.

you could disable the authentication in your bios (under Power settings)

Tried a new charger but did not work.
bios just give me the 'insert powersuply for optimal performance' and the sound on batterymode were you have to press f1.Could it be the motherboard?

New charger definitely 240W? Otherwise sounds like a motherboard issue, might be worth trying to wiggle the connector gently.

Yes I believe it is an issue with the motherboard, I suppose I need a new connector or motherboard.
    Thanks for the help :)

Could it be power inlet socket from the PSU?
I had to resolder mine because the pins was loose in the board.
Actually soldered in an extra wire towards another pin that it was going to be connected with to be sure that if the pin came loose again it would still have contact.

This had been loose due to high power, and moving around the power cable in the inlet to try to get better contact when my PSU was bad.

Skaun, have you checked the power socket on the motherboard to see if any pins are loose? Trome71's idea would be the first thing that I'd do to help rule out things by a process of elimination.

Best of luck on getting this solved asap.

you will need a new motherboard, sometimes you can get just the power board on eBay.

I have ordered a new power socket. After looking at the motherboard I am convinced that the pins are loose.
If the bad boy doesn't work after the soldering job I believe a new motherboard is needed.
Thanks for the help everyone :)

If you have a soldering iron, try re-solering the pins. Also try to make new lanes to next component in the same area using wire if needed. I did and it works like a charm.
If loose pins is the problem a socket swap might not be needed or helpful at all as long as its the board side on the pins. De-soldering the old socket and cleaning up the holes might do more damage than good if you dont have to do it. Use a multimeter and check electrical connection before and after soldering.
Be sure to not overheat during soldering or kill the computer with static.
