Every time I go wireless with my M17x (Disconnecting the power brick from the computer) and then I go to plug it back in it says, (Plugged in, not charging).

This has been happening ever since I got my laptop and I want a permanent fix for it. One fix I know is to disconnect the power supply and take out the battery and hold down the power button for 5 seconds, now this fixes the problem BUT DOES NOT FIX IT PERMANENTLY!

I want a permanent solution to this problem. If anyone knows a fix please share it.

if you are running the system in stealth mode that could be, make sure stealth mode is off and restart the laptop and try again.

Never mind, if the power drain doesn't help, there's not much to do. Call Dell.

maybe try to disconnect the bios battery and do the power drain for 10 sec, then reconnect the bios battery.

I get the notification of insert a compatible AC adapter and not charging (randomly) but if left like that, it'll charge the battery after a few seconds (did not time it but it was under a minute).
My guess is that the OSD does not know what it's doing.

So, have you upgraded the BIOS to the latest R05?

It's only been a few days, but I haven't had any "AC Adapter" messages since I upgraded to R05

If you are referring to me, than the answer is yes but just recently. I will have to pay more attention if the AC adapter warning is still there.
