I recently had to clean the heatsinks on my M17x R2. After putting everything back together I have a big problem.
When I press the power button, everything lights up. The media bar, the alienware text under the screen and the keyboard.
Unfortunately the monitor stays dark, and I have an orange light around the power button. Also, there is 1 long beep followed by 2 short beeps after about 10 seconds or so.
How screwed am I in this situation? Is it fixable or have I fried something important while I was opening up and reassembling my laptop?
What I did was unscrew the underside of the laptop, remove the 2 screws holding down the media bar, removed the media bar then the keyboard, removed the GPU, cleaned the heatsink/cooling fan with compressed air then I screwed everything back in and reassembled/replugged everything.

EDIT: After looking up beep codes, looks like a display adapter problem. Does it mean my GPU is fried? ><

Issue fixed!
Apparently the first time around I failed to plug the card properly, took everything apart again, replugged the card and everything is working again. -
