The problem is it is very slow reading and writing.

I'm only getting 3.x read speeds with different disks. I tested it by dragging various files from the disks and with Nero disc speed tool. Dragging a large file from a disk gets me an avg read speed of 4.8 mb/sec.

    Thanks

I'm still having problems with the drive. Tech support says its working fine, It is still slow and at times stops responding and won't eject the disc unless I reboot.

Can someone please grab a dvd and a CDrom and drag a file from the disk and let me know the transfer rate? Using windows calculation.

    Thanks
