    Hey guys

I don't know if this is the right place to post this but I just picked up an Alienware m17x r2 at a discount store and it comes with an Xfire configuration... 5870m

I needed help in restoring the gpu clocks since everything I try to run lags like anything. I tried using msi afterburner to no avail. GPU clocks go to 100/150 under rest and in stress they clock out 300/400 as shown by GPUz.

I've tried reinstalling the drivers. Tried every possible way to work it out but to no avail. Can someone guide me to a link where I can fix it? Is this a hardware problem? Some people suggest throttling but I've managed to run the cards perfectly once and no visible artifacting in games was present. Using trixx to slightly to overclock them.

I need urgent help regarding this. Thanks

Would it be possible to check the temperatures for your video card?
Also, have you tried flashing the vBIOS?
