hey guys, bit of an odd one here, spilt drink on my keyboard yesterday, and now its buggered, but, heres the weird part. at the moment i have to use an external keyboard but in order for me to use it i have to plug in the internal keyboard else it will die after an hour because it refuses to use AC power when the keyboard isnt plugged in so, basically i need the keyboard unplugged and it to run on ac power and not battery, so is there any way to disable the internal keyboard in bios etc?
p.s sorry for the wording, it may sound a little peculiar

Is there a reason you don't want to leave the keyboard plugged in? Or does the motherboard no longer recognize it?

There's no way to disable the internal keyboard in BIOS, but you can unplug it from the motherboard.
if i were you i would dismantle everything and clean the parts!

yeah, exactly what ive done, and i couldn't unplug it as it refuses to use AC power :S so the keyboard io cable needs to remain in, in order for it to use AC and not drain the battery, and if i unplug it completely it wont boot, as it requires the FX cable attached, so as i said really weird problem, but for now ive got it sorted, little temperamental still and ordered a new keyboard yesterday (from Brooklyn) so no idea how long that's going to take to get here

Are these keyboards spill resistant? U shud have turned it over immediately and followed up with dis-assembly. Done is done. Do what you have to do buddy...How much were u getting charged for the keyboard.?

well i did that exactly, powered off and flipped, but, there actually surprisingly resistant as there would have been a good 500ml on there, as for the keyboard, buying off ebay from the US so it will be like a month before i get it :(..plus side its only costing me $32
