I upgraded the M471B5673FH0-CF8 (2GBx2) sticks that my laptop originally had with KHX16S9P1K2/16 HyperX PnP(2x8GB) 1600MHz PC3-12800 DDR3 Non-ECC CL9. My laptop boots fine and the computer recognizes the 16GB of ram installed but in the BIOS I noticed that the Memory Channel Mode is only Single and not Double. BIOS also states that 0GB are installed in either memory slot which I'm aware is normal apparently. I'm currently running A10, is there anyway to have Dual Channel 16GB of ram or would I have to downgrade to 8GB for Dual Channel Memory.

what does cpu-z say? The bios is known to not report things accurately. Does cpu-z report dual or single channel? I'm running 1x 8gb stick and 1x 4gb stick and it's reported as dual channel.

Your right, CPU-Z does say Channel #: Dual, so its safe to assume their both working in tandem. Thanks for the help.

It is indeed safe to assume that, the R2 was not made for 16GB on 1600mhz therefore the BIOS will not recognize it properly.
