Hi all,
I've got an M17x R2 laptop, and of late I'm experiencing some sluggishness in gaming performance. Games like Crysis 2 and Modern Warfare were quite smooth before, but in the last coupla days, the frame-rate's become very choppy.
The screen seems to dim from time to time (no definite interval), like what would happen when the system switches from AC power to battery, even though it's continuously connected to the power supply. When I quit the game, the OSD tray icon shows a 'Connect AC Adapter for optimal operation' notification. Rebooting does not help.
It's been over a month since I installed the latest BIOS to fix the 'Plugged in, not charging' issue, but nothing cropped up at the time, so I'm guessing the problem is a loose connection or a faulty adapter. Any thoughts?
Cheers!

I get the sluggishness too ... just from a few days. If you disable crossfire and go with the main gpu it will work as before...what could cause this i wonder ... i didn't change anything in the configuration. Also note that newer drivers don't help ... at least for me.
