So i got my laptop back from dell recently (they replaced the mobo, for free, out of warranty) And the battery was charged up 100% took it off the charger, charged it back up, then left it on, shut it down, took it off the charger and when i went to charge it afterward and it shows the charging animation, says its charging, but checking with hwmonitor the current capacity is not going back up, and i figured it just wasnt updating left it on the charger off overnight and turned it on off the charger and got to windows then.... hibernate, put it back on the charger and it was at 1% and hasnt gained anything since then, it was a new mobo they put it, but i have no idea whats going on, they will replace it but its during the school term, and i have to send it in(since its out of warranty) any idea to fix? (battery still says full charge capacity 69k mWh out of designed capacity 86k mWh )
Please help im going crazy!

It could be the motherboard, power supply or the actual battery itself. I would try a known good Flextronics/Delta 240 watt AC adapter.

Ok so idk what the problem is, i put my old Mobo (the one that got the alienfx controller killed) and its not the mobo, tried charging it with the power off for an hour with the 90w charger from my dell studio, on both mobos and no change, 3 mwh so i guess its the battery, even though it says theres still juice it must be toast, hmm... well that sucks (not like i use it off the battery anyways, since it turns off cfx if its off the charger) welp i think i need something more portable anyways, i think im gonna put it on the market place dead battery and all

You can't use a Dell 90 watt adapter, it won't charge the machine. I think even with a single 5870M, you'll need a 150 watt brick. R2 with SLI/CF cards needs at least 210, but most shipped with the 240 watt brick.

So then I guess I will go someplace that would have a dell 240w charger, got any suggestions I don't want to go out and pay for another one if its not the problem
