I ordered an R4 a few weeks ago and its about to arrive, so I found a buyer for my R2 (as configured in sig). So before I sell this thing I want to use my restore disk to restore it to factory image for security purposes.

    Here is the question:

I may be crazy, but I seem to remember readind on here awhile back that once you updated to the new VBIOS for the 5870m's that there was some sort of conflict with the software on the restore disk (possible the older version of the command center??) that could damage your system. I tried to search the internets but came up with nothing.

Can someone tell me I am crazy or not? Or tell me that I have no worries by restoring my m17x R2 back to factory condition?

There was a conflict with vBios of 5870M and certain versions of CCC. I for the longest time had to use old CCC and manually update the drivers by targeting the extracted INF files. 12.3 and beyond shouldn't have this issue.
