    Greetings one and all.

I'll get straight to it. I was running Crysis at Ultra-High on my laptop yesterday morning, and it ran perfectly fine. I had not been connected at the internet at that time, but later connected briefly to surf Facebook and check my email, no sites I've never visited before or anything out of the ordinary. Anyway, later (I'm disconnected again) I load up Crysis again and I've got this horrible lag that even effects the game when I put it down to medium. I've noticed a performance hit with a few other games I tried so I figure it's the machine, and not Crysis.

I've made sure everything is up to date, I've virus swept the computer with two different anti-virus programs, made sure the machine is on High Performance with Stealth mode off but the game still seems to lag badly. What the heck happened?
