The touch volume controls are not working all of the time. Sometimes I try to use them and nothing happens and other times they work but real slow. I had an M15x for a short period of time and the controls on that machine worked perfectly.

All other controls seem to work just fine. (eject, wireless, command center, etc)

I searched around a bit with no luck. Anybody else having this problem or have a solution?

    Thanks

    1. Power off the system
    2. Unplug AC Power
    3. Remove Battery
    4. Depress and hold the power button for a 20 count
    5. Attach Battery
    6. Attach AC Power and boot up.

I had this happen on my first M17x r1. Volume didnt work right, took many presses and if I tried to hold it down it was slow if it worked at all.
If what batboy suggests doesnt resolve it. Then its most likely a bad panel.
When I got my second M17xr1 those touch buttons worked flawlessly. I didnt have to press many times to get it to work and it only took a light press to activate the button.

I even moved the panel from the second system over to the first one and had no issues.. SO it was clearly a bad touch panel.

I had the same issue, never resolved since I decided to return the system while I was still waiting for the replacement (over 20 days). We'll see how my new system (I found a better deal) is.

I have heard that removing the panel and then reseating it can help. Essentially, the idea is that the panel wasn't seated properly which is why the bottons don't work. I have not idea how to remove the panel but it might help especially cause worse comes to worse you can always try and get a replacement system.

thanks guys...its probably a bad panel, because if i heat up my finger before pressing them thet seem to work better. I'll call tech support about it.

    Thanks
    Guys

Yea I had the same thing and it was the panel.. If I have that happen on my R2 then i will just swap out touch strips as my current one is flawless.

I thought i was having problems with the touch sensetive controls also.....after a bit of messing about....trying various things like making sure my fingers were "moist" if you like, instead of dry so they make contact properly, what i DID find out is that to ensure that they work, you need to place your WHOLE FINGER over the WHOLE of the touch control in question and not just put a finger tip on it hoping for a response......

I tried this and it seems that completely covering the control you want, it works fine....i just dont think its hyper responsive to the lightest touch...

I was trying to just "use my fingertip" which didnt work, using your WHOLE finger print area seems to do the trick nicely....

Just a comment but try it out if you are having probs - saves a call to tech and them sending out a part or a tech guy to fit it for you.... ;)

I dont think this is an issue, i think its just like that. When I hold press the volume buttons on mine the volume bar's on the screen increment 1 second at a time. If its slower than that even after the whole finger thing that steviejones133 was talking about, then you probably have an issue.

I dont know about you but i kinda like it slow. It sounds more natural adjusting the volume than having the volume shoot up to max
