    Hi folks,

All of the sudden, my M17x won't connect to my wireless at home. It was working fine on Wednesday, and I took it with me to a friend's house on Thursday. It wouldn't connect to my friend's comcast xfinity network, so I gave up. Now all of the sudden it won't connect to my network at home. I didn't change any settings while at my friend's house or mess with anything.

I did find this guide, but I don't have a Dell/Broadcomm adapter or Nvidia drivers...

*Edit* : The computer sees my network and says it has excellent signal strength. All my other wireless devices connect just fine, so I know it's not my network.

    Thanks for any help!

    Chris

try to complete power off your wifi router for 1-2 minutes, then turn it on. That could help

Well, between rebooting the computer and the router, it's working now. Not sure what fixed it though - when the computer wouldn't connect to the router, my ipod would, so I'm not sure how to explain that....

I wish I knew what caused it so I could take steps to prevent it from happening again...which I feel is inevitable...

    Thanks,
    Chris

good you sorted it out mate. I had such a problem once as well, the laptop had limited access while two iphones were ok. Windows 7 offered this solution after trying to repair the connection, and it worked. I have no idea what could cause that because in my case I didn't connect to other networks, just turned on the machine once and got limited access.
