My issue is when I was booting my R2 with baterry, there is a noisy sound " beep " and I have to press F1 to continue booting, it's no problem if I'm at home or in private place but in the class room or somewhere quiet public, it's really annoying when I need to boot up my computer without A/C charging (not near any power adapter for example)
Any way to change this in bios or somewhere? I'm really appreciate in advance for your help!
I've used bios A09, new Vbios and 8.763 graphic driver

I think you have to turn off adapter warnings in the bios. see if that works chiefs?

yeah I saw that option in the bios but I didn't give it a try and now follow your guide it really work well, really appreciate reborn2003

Ooops I have a change -
Hey Guys,
I am having the same "beeping" issue with djhuydx even after updating the system BIOS and all other drivers to the latest ones (A09, etc). When I run my lappy with battery upon the POST there's an error message saying you should plugin the ac adapter to get a full performance. In addiction, once you start plugging in your ac adapter no matter what your battery setting is now (battery modes using Fn+F2) the battery won't charge. Only power drain method will fix this issue.
Just wondering if this error message is still showing up during POST in A09 when you run your lappy without ac adapter. -
However I think if you go into the bios and set it to not show ac adapter warming messages that will take away the beep sound. Not sure if it will still show the warning message or not. Give it a try.
Also be careful when playing around with that Fn+F2 button. It is quite fiddly and weird. I tried it last time and had the same troubles as you with battery not charging. Took me a little while to get it working again. What you will have to do in windows is hit the Fn+F2 a couple of times or until you see the battery starts charging. Keep an eye on it cause mine stopped last time then I played around with it again on off and its back to working great again.
So Fn+F2 in windows have a play with it watch the pics change disabled to enabled and back again until you finally see your battery is charging. It will be easier if your battery is discharged a little so you can see it start charging again.

Hey reborn2003 thanks & appreciate for your quick reply & tips.
I am quite relieved I'm not the only one who is still having this issue.Yeah I guess the only temporary workaround now is just disable it via BIOS. Usually I cycle through the Fn+F2 setting until the battery enabled icon with a green color displayed by OSD.

I too have the flextronics. I had the Delta last time but dell gave me a new one and took the delta back.
After i stopped messing with the Fn+F2 I've had no trouble since in charging and DC my notebook and using the battery.
No problems since.
I probably shouldn't have touched it in the 1st place but I was curious as what pressing Fn+F2 would do lol.
Cheers. -
It's not our fault. The Fn+F2 should have been working flawlessly in the first place and not causing a charging issue. I have set it to the correct mode (batt enabled) but still the battery won't charge.
Btw why didn't you ask them for a Delta as your replacement instead? I've been keep on hearing bad stories about Flextronics a/c adapter.
I'm assuming you're in the battery enabled mode (green color) now, same as mine. -
one way to kill the beep sound is to plug in earphones into the earphone jack. worked for me..

Yeh I somehow managed to get it working again. Battery is charging properly every time I unplug and plug back in to AC power. So I'm not going to be touching that FN+F2 again anytime soon lol.
Hope you can get yours working and fixed chiefs.
Cheers.
