    M17x R2 does halo 2 work

    I am about to buy a alienware m17x R2 with Windows 7 x64 for $700, does halo 2 work for it? I have done a little research and heard it difficult get it running for a x64. But wanted to see if anyone with this kind of alienware has problems and possibly how to go by fixing it.

    Yes it will work on Win7 64 bit. It has been a hot minute since I played it but the only issue I had was with Microsoft Live. Once that was fixed I think I had to run the compatibility wizard so it would run (Win Vista SP2 settings).

    By the way welcome to the forums and congrats on your R2 purchase. Look around the forums, some fellow R2 users have done amazing upgrades to keep the R2 in the game.

    UPDATE:
    Just installed and played the game without a hitch. As I said above you need to ensure Microsoft Live is installed after the game is installed.
