    Gday
My m17x is kind of playing up. If I am downloading something I will go away and leave it for a while. I come back 15 minutes later and my external screen and the laptop screen have gone black and the downloads have stopped (modem light stopped blinking). The computer seems to go into some weird semi sleep stage after a while. Tried changing settings in command center but nothing seems to work. This only seems to happen if nothing if I stop interacting with the laptop and leave it for a while. It will still go into weird sleep mode even if downloading something .

Any answers ??? or help ??

In your system tray you have a battery icon, click it and change power plan to balanced or high performance, these can also be customized so your laptop will never sleep, turn its screen off. This is not an issue, it's a feature of windows ;)

Yeah I thought I had changed it to never turn the screen off but it showed it hadn't  . I think I changed it in command center but it never went through to the windows settings.

Go to Control Panel > Power options to make sure and navigate thru the settings to change what you need ;)
