Hey all i am having a huge problem with my R2. After flashing A6 bios I left my computer alone and it went to sleep and it wont come back on no matter what i do.

Tried power drain and no dice all the lights come on and fans for a few seconds but it never goes to the bios just stays black screen.

I never took it apart or anything like that just got done doing a full restore and everything was running great.

    Any suggestions? thanks.

You could try removing the Bios battery and do the drain reinstall the battery. You Tube, m17x tear down has great video showing how. :D
Only thing I can think off trying at this point. Hitting F8 on power up dose nothing?

I would investigate alienwolf's solution and unplug the CMOS battery. Did it ever boot to the desktop after the BIOS flash, or did this happen immediately afterward? If it worked, even once, it's probably something stupid. If it never did anything after the BIOS flash, you may have bricked it.

Here are some ideas in no particular order.

    0.Alienware diagnostics http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/Alw_M17xR2/en/index.html
    1.Try removing CMOS battery
2.Get the image on a USB flash drive
3.Boot from the flash drive, run the BIOS executable, Reboot
4.Or, try to boot with a Windows CD from the CD/DVD drive. If you can get to Windows setup from the CD, answer back. The CD might be able to alter your BIOS to point to the right boot sector.
