Hi, I'd like to know how large a hard drive my system can take for each slot. Currently I have a 250 gb hard drive for my OS and a 500 gb for a secondary storage medium. I was thinking of upgrading my secondary storage to 2 tb, but I'm not sure if it will support it. I really want to get the most out of this system if I can.

Also, is there a specific type of hard drive parameter I have to meet? I know it should be able to take most laptop hard drives, now, but I'm trying to make sure I don't accidentally spend my money on a useless drive.

    Thank you!

yeah it will support 2GB, as far as I know 2GB is the max u can get in the 2.5" segment.

Not true. I raise you this:

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/Seagate-Mo...5+sata+3tb&_from=R40&rt=nc&_trksid=m570.l1313

OP, You can use 2tb 9.5mm height in the 2 available sata slots, and you can remove the optical drive and replace with a 12.5mm hard drive adapter and stuff a 3tb hard drive in there too.

    That drive is 15mm?

Then you can insert a 5TB drive from seagate as well

The two normal HDD slots cant support 15MM I reckon even with modding, as the interposer in that model works really odd. So probably two 2TB HDD/SSHD/SSDs. The biggest 2.5 HDD is 5TB. The biggest 2.5 SSD is 8TB, but I don't believe you can buy it for commercial use
