    May as well throw up another Paint mod I’ve done recently. This one was on the first ever AW machine I ever bought. I sold it to a mate a few years ago but bought it back earlier this year for a carton of beer, painted it and gave it to the wife to use. The soft touch material makes it hard to paint the lid but I got everything I could everywhere else.

    Wow turned out really nice. Can you share prep and materials used?

    So basically;
    1. Striped the machine down as far as possible
    2. Dremel the plastic rivets that hold the back grills so they could be removed
    3. Strip down the keyboard surround so the clear quick key material is removed
    4. Tape up any areas that have the soft touch or that you want to keep stock
    5. Use a primer on all the areas to be painted
    6. Spray whatever color you want (I used matte pink and matte white)
    7. Used a satin clear coat spray to protect paint and keep the matte look I was going for
    8. Reassemble (used super glue to put the grills back on)

    I may have rushed over the explanation a little but I've had a few beers. The prep is the longest part.
