    Hi,

I'm having this strange issue since ages, didn't have the time to share it with the community here.
When I unplug the power cord from my M17 R3 it works OK for 3-5 seconds and then completely freezes, i.e. I have to shut it down by pressing the Shutdown button on the computer for 5 seconds.

Interesting thing is that this does not happen 100% of the cases - sometimes it just runs fine.
The only mod I have on this computer is the SSD from Samsung (256MB 830-series). When I purchased the new drive I had to reinstall everything from scratch and that is when it all started to occur.

    Any thoughts or ideas maybe?

    Thanks!

Don't know if it's ssd or laptop related but I transfered my Samsung 830 120GB from my desktop to my R3 and it causes small issues here too. At first I thought there was something wrong with my desktop but now I'm starting to believe the SSD is the culprit.

Do you have your old HDD? Perhaps we could test the laptop with that. If it's not happening with it then the SSD is the culprit indeed.
