I would like this thread to be a discussion for the upgrading of a GPU from 460m to whatever GPU, that has the ability for 3D and has better specs then the 460m. Since the 485m is out of reach for me because of the cost, future mobile GPU's could be more cost efficient?

I have no idea but I'd like to know whether it'd be possible to upgrade a 460m with the 3D to a better card in the future that can use 3D and is cost efficient.

The 470 and 480 are both expensive as well, I even think the 470 outperforms the 480. Im not sure if either will work with the 3d seeing as I dont think dell has a 470 or 480.

Sure it is if the BIOS supports the card in question, but that is up to Dell to include it. Maybe a 470 would be a good upgrade? if support is added a 560/70/80 would be good as well. I am pretty sure that any 200/300/400/500 series supports 3D just need the Nvidia kit and 120HZ screen which the R3 has.
