Hi I know this is an old system but I've been googling for 2 hours to find the answer to this one. This has a 120hz screen but I have been running it at 60hz. If I go in the bios (a12) and enable sg will it enable the HD3000? I'm afraid to try it LOL but since I'm running 60hz anyway it might be a good power saver.

Hi the intel is disabled as the 120hz panel is plugged into a different port on the MB. It's a native 120hz panel so all you will do is brick it if you try - been there done that!

Thank you that's what I thought. Problem is you can't install any drivers to the 460 the way it is,they all fail. It runs ok though so maybe I'll just leave it be.

What is happening to stop the driver install? You should be able to use a recent one. Have you tried DDU ( Display Driver Uninstaller) to clear down a failed driver install?

Just says install failed. I've tried everything from 331 up. I skip the 3d portion because I don't use it,now I just try the vid driver alone but still fails. Thought maybe because they included support for the HD portion but maybe not. It's not a real big deal but I think some newer drivers than 2011 might help some intermittent problems :) .Never heard of DDU, been out of touch with the NR scene for awhile. From what I gather I'm not the only one that has a problem like this and I really don't want to get into the modded driver thing.

DDU is a utility from a guy called wagnard ( http://www.wagnardsoft.com/DDU/download/DDU v17.0.7.2.exe). It's become the de-facto for stripping out old installations and making a fresh start. Even the NV reps recommend it.

No modding should be needed but always let it install everything. An out-of-date component can cause failure and you do have a 120hz display.

Good luck and ask away if you need any help.
