    Good day.
Please pardon me if i will repeat old question, really short on my time looking for it.
I have M17x R3 laptop with nVidia 580m on it, which almost dead. So i have to buy another video card.
I can order another 580m from Dell (don't really want to order that one) or 6870M.
I have a 3D display on my laptop and the question is - will 6870M work with that display ? Don't really need 3D, but will it show any piceture at all ? Is it compatible ?

Only an NV card can be used on a 120hz display.

The 580m being the 'best' (the worst GPU I have ever owned ) for the R3 that is plug-and-play.

The 680m is a solid replacement and considerably faster but you do need to mod an installation file for it to work. If you see any threads on the subject just be aware you do NOT need an unlocked bios on a 120hz model.

    Good luck.
