For some reason, occasionally, when removing the AC cord from the Laptop when its on causes it to just switch off. It will then not power back on for about a minute.

This doesnt happen always, like just now, as a test a pulled the cord out and it switched to battery, but yesterday, it fell out and the laptop died.

    Anyone had this issue?

Try a BIOS update and also update the OSD. Is the battery being detected? have you gotten any battery error messages?

Ive recently updated my BIOS to the modified A08. It was happening before and after. No battery error messages, battery is detected to.

Also 5 lights shwoing battery is 100% charged.

Like i said it is totally random, 2months with no problem then 2 times in a week, trhen nothing for a week and then again etc etc

yes it could be bios, but also should check options in the alienware command center, under "AlienFusion" and advanced settings for all of the power plans, and check to see if anything is unusual (particularly under battery or sleep settings), I remember having a similar problem a few months ago, and looking here helped me out in removing the problem.

Yes, I agree with ADegtyarev, check the power plan on you laptop but also, update the On-Screen Display utility.
