So I went on a trip for 2 days, and when I came back... my alienware FX stopped working.

The only light that works is the power button. Everything else is turned off.

I have tried using the FN+ALIEN FX button and rebooting. Nothing helps. I tried to change the settings in alienware command center... still nothing.

    Any suggestions?

I would uninstall and reinstall Alienware Command Center first. If that doesn't work, then do I fresh install follow the guide here on the forums or if you created your Alienware respawn discs I would use those to restore the system.

This is probably a more general question, but when you create those restore discs, does it take a snapshot of the system at the point of restore? Or does it already have some kind of "image" to restore from when the computer was shipped? Meaning, if you were to say...install microsoft word and then create the restore, would it include that?

Ps. sorry for the minor hijacking!

I have had a similar issue with a hp laptop, The fix consists of switching it on
with power in, then unplug power then remove battery so it shuts down.
Now put battery back in plug power cable back in and restart as normal.
Try it, it can`t do any harm...Good luck!!! Just got my M17X R3 a couple
of days ago and love it so far..
