The codes aren't listed in the Trouble Shooting part of the Owners manual?

According to this Computer POST and beep codes 8 beeps is a video error. I would call dell unless you want to try and reseat your video card.

If anyone has any information on this beside the above that would be great. I had this same issue today and i called dell. I was told that 8 beeps was a software issue and that it would cost 269.99 to have a tech come load new software on the laptop and this would fix the problem. However what i have read says this is a hardware issue. ...... Any help would be appreciated thanks !

I would also try reseating the video card, if that doesn't work just reload the operating system yourself if it comes down to it, you have the discs to do so, then go to the owners section and use the alienware clean install guide to get it back to what it looked like before!
