M17x is peeling on the corners and warranty wont cover it, is it easy to replace the chasis on the m17x? And while at it I might convert it to Nebula red if I can find parts.
Will doing this be a hassle expensive and etc? Or should I just deal with it?

Yes, it is hassle and expensive. I don't know why the warranty won't cover a defective paint job. Finding all the parts won't be too difficult. Just need to make sure to get the back cover for the LCD, the bottom chassis and it's screw-on cover.

Yea, I've looked at the same people having the peeling problem in the corners. Idk why they won't cover it. I called and they said its cosmetic and not covered under the standard warranty.

Now that's a bunch of hooey. Cosmetic defect should be included if it's a factory defect and not something caused by the end user.

You can get all the parts for (about) $90 US from Parts People.

My Kids drew all over the top of my Lappy when I left it on Sofa once. Ordered a Grade A replacement along with a new Bezel from Parts-People.com. Excellent, fast service.

Some people also got professional resprays on the casing, maybe if that's an option (have professionals around or you could send it to) you could change it to a custom job?

Easy to replace if you know what you are doing. Parts are hard to come by sometimes though. Always go for grade a. Oh, and this is one of the main reasons I sold my r4 and bought an m18x r2

thought this could only be done on r1 and r2 which were anodized aluminium. r3 is a rubbery texture which wouldn't work well.

Actually the aluminium is more of a PITA to paint compared to the R3/R4's plastic. The rubber finish can be removed which makes it an easy job.
