And I can confirm I works fine in the M17x r3, had a 7970m in that machine and sold it, but the next day the 7970m died! so I took it back from the buyer and swapped the m6000 in it. Gonna play with it for a while before I sell the r3 again,
Stock score is 3dmark11 is 3500 points with a 2670qm cpu. It's not as fast as the 7970m but still not bad.
Did a 'small' overclock, 1000 core/1300mem instead of 800/1000
4299 points!

Tried an even higher overclock but it crashed, interestingly the stock voltage is identical to the 7970m and the core overclocks just like a 7970m (unstable at anything higher than around 1000 mhz). So just like the 7970m an overvolt would be required to go higher.
You can grab these cards on Ebay/Aliexpress for about 80-100 bucks which is damn good value considering the performance. Faster, cooler and more reliable than a GTX580M for example.

Do you know if it will work in an r2? My 5780m just fried and I need something to get me up and running for the time being until I get a 7970m

do you need any vBios mod to use this M6000, is it from Precision notebook or any M6000 card will work?

@maxslo Have you had a chance to test that out yet? I'm going crazy seeing my R2 collecting dust lol

No, still not, he changed his mind and won't be upgrading the GPU :/...
I have a M17x R2 zombie that only need new motherboard and another m17x R2 Coming in from a trade, i will test the M6000 in it and if you want you can have it... it's second to last one that i have on me
