Hello I recently bought an SSD and did a fresh windows install on my computer, I followed this guide someone on this site posted regarding SSD Optimization:
    Here

Well the problem I am having is that my computer freezes on startup almost as soon as I get to the desktop or sometimes a few seconds andter i open some programs, and it stays that way for a good 60-90 seconds until it recovers. Then its fine.....

It is just very anoying because it always happens when I boot up my system and I dont know what to do. A dell tech tried help me troubleshoot by uninstalling Internet explorer 9, and changing some settings on Startup but so far nothing helps....

Any help in the matter would be greatly apreciated.

    Thanks a lot!! :(

As soon as you hit the desktop (right after you login) Windows is running whatever's in the Startup folder and/or the startup sections in registry for explorer.

If you boot into Safe Mode do you see the same thing? if not, it's a custom installed driver or something running in the startup program and not hardware or Windows. If it does happen you've got a bios/hardware configuration issue or Windows doesn't interact with the hardware properly.

Assuming it works fine in Safe Mode, First thing I'd do is run MSCONFIG and disable all in the startup tab and see if that resolves the problem. If it does, start adding stuff back in until you figure out the culprit.

The M4? Update the firmware to 0002.
