    I have 2 questions:

1.There was somewhere on this forum a thread where there were modded upgrades for the gfx card. I cannot find it anywhere because, the nvidia drivers don't upgrade and dells drivers are outdated. Can someone please tell me where it is I looked through the m17x r3 owners lounge but couldn't find it.

    2. Is it worth upgrading from the 460m to the 580m.
Edit: If it is worth upgrading, where can I get the 580m for a good price.

    Thanks.

when you say modded upgrades to the gfx card, the only thing i can think of is the modified vbios. Is this what you are referring to?

It is definitely worth going to the 580. It is so much more powerful than a 460m. However, the price is steep. Dell still wants $1100 if you are buying the card outside of a system. I've seen cards on nbr marketplace and ebay...you're still looking at about $800
