What specifically isnt working about it?

Kubuntu and Ubuntu are the same. Debian linux just ubuntu has gnome shell and kubuntu has kde shell.

If you go into more specifics about what isn't working we can help.

i think the problems are the graphics card drivers. Hybrid systems aren't supported by linux atm :( as far as i know

Yeah the switchable graphics won't work but for the Desktop environment the integrated graphics should be enough.

EDIT: Seems it does work with a restart of the shell:

Linux OS supports manual switching which requires restart of X-Server to switch between graphics solutions. With AMD Dynamic Switchable Graphics technology, full enablement of all discrete graphics video and display features may not be supported on all systems (e.g. OpenGL applications will run on the integrated GPU or the APU as the case may be). Always check with your system manufacturer for specific mode capabilities and supported technologies.

After booting from Cd or usb the regular menu appears, then when i push the regular install, a whole bunch of black letters appear instead of installation options. Then it just stops there. and to shut it off i have to kill the power, this happens for ubuntu, mint, and fedora.
