    Hi all,

    My current spec was:
    Intel 2720QM processor
    ATI HD6970M graphic card
    Alienware Tactx mouse
    8GB Ram
    Wins7 Home Premium 64-bit.

I encounter a problem regarding the mouse cursor when I was surfing. The mouse pointer suddenlly went distorted. The head and tail of the pointer went separately and look like a square box with 1 or 2 horizontal line cut off the mouse pointer. I tried to log off and log on back, doesn't fix the problem till I need to do a system reboot, then the cursor back to normal.
This issue happen 1 time since I bought this laptop last month till now. Did anyone facing this problem before? Is it something to do with the setting or the hardware itself?

Your help is much appreaciated. Thanks.

    Steve.

I had this problem. Check my picasa page in my sig. The cursor becomes a notepad/notebook-paper looking thing lolz. If I switch the graphics card, then it goes way. No idea what's causing it: hardware or software. You can't really duplicate this occurrence either to find out what it is.

I have a replacement R3 sitting next to my original, and have been pondering swapping the GPUs. Should I?

Someone please advise. This is a good thread :)

Anyone know anything about this? It's a big concern personally, cuz I'm debating doing a gpu swap before I send the replacement unit back to Michael Dell.
