I've had the laptop almost a year, after many BSOD problem which, touch wood, seem to be gone, I cant help but notice the noise levels of the fans. I know they never used to be this loud. Under load fair enough....

But as I type this I have steam running, Utorrent (no games) and this net window open, nothing else. And the noise is ridiculous!

Any suggestions? Latest BIOS, clean installed recently.

    Have you checked CPU/GPU temperatures?

Check if the temperatures are fine and follow this troubleshooting.
You can also look for dust on the fans by removing the bottom cover (your warranty won't be voided for doing that)
