    Hi all,

I am no stranger to dead 6990m's with the M17x R3 and last night during a gaming session my computer shut off and would not power back on. If I remove the 6990m, boots fine on integrated graphics and passes all tests. Murphy's law is I was about to sell this next week as I have a new system on the way and my warranty coverage has lapsed.

My question is has anyone had this happen and was it the GPU or the MB?

I don't want to drop cash on a GPU to find out it might be the MB.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

most likely it's GPU problem rather than MB problem, when my 6990 died in R3 last year, it's same symptom.
