    Hi guys,

Is the panel on the M17x R3/R4 compatible with the 17 R1 board?

Well, I looked at a 17 R1 board and saw 2 comnectors on it. One looks very similar to an EDP port connector from the M17x R4 where my 120hz is plugged into. Im guessing you would maybe run into a black screen if you were to mix and match these displays maybe? Dell might of put some sort of hardware identifier in place to know which lcds belong to what computer

i remember trying 17x R3's panel directly to the AW 17's LVDS connector but that didnt worked .. I used M17x R3's LVDS Cable as i had 120hz panel with AW 17 so maybe that might be the reason..But i guess it will work just fine with AW 17'S Lvds cable

Yeah I'm thinking it probably won't work. I guess I'll just have to test it but I don't want to find that it will have any adverse effects on the LCD.

I want to test some AMD cards but I only have 120Hz displays for my test 17 but I have a 60Hz display from a dead M17x.
