    Hi,

    I am a new owner of the M17x R3 and my configuration has:
    - i7 2670 (2,2 GHz)
    - GTX 580M
    - 4GB(2x2) RAM (default, cheapest option)
    - 17.3" 120Hz w/ 3D Bundle WideFHD (1920 x 1080) WLED LCD

    I have searched this forum, but I didn't find the thread with the info I am about to ask for. Since we are talking about RAM, most likely I have missed the thread, I am guessing this can be a hot topic and a discussion is already somewhere... I apologize, I wasn't able o find it.

    My intention is to upgrade the RAM. What is your recommendation in terms of brand and stores (delivery in UK or Finland):
    - I don't care about the one that comes by default;
    - Is it worth to invest in 1600 MHz modules(the CPU should work with it...)?
    - I am looking for 8GB(2x4GB).

    Could you also recommend a shop where I could buy SSD (min 80GB) and the 3D glasses? If you could recommend a specific model of SSD budget friendly but also with very good performance...

    1600Mhz modules are good, and M4 SSD is also reasonably budget friendly. Your system should have come with a pair of 3D glasses, if not call up Dell and get them to send you some.

    Remember Black Friday tomorrow...
