My 6990m died on me recently, so yesterday I finally got a new one. I put the card in and ran Unigine Heaven for an hour without any issues. The temps were good never going above 74. The first crash happened upon exit everything just started to freeze, but I could still move the mouse just couldn't click on anything also ctrl alt del would not work. It happened in windows randomly a couple of more times then I decided to format and reinstall. I used my Windows recovery disks that I made when I bought the computer, but installed windows on an ssd. I am not sure if that is the issue or not, but it seemed like the easiest thing to do. The computer ran for a few hours without incident, but then started doing the freezing thing again. I have no idea what could be causing this the only thing I have replaced is the GPU. Could the GPU be faulty? I am using all stock drivers at the moment while I try to resolve this issue.

*Edit I should mention that every time this happened HWMonitor was running in the background not sure if it can cause that, but it is strange.*

    Thanks
