    M17x R3 SSD swap questions...

    Can anyone help me with the rating issue? the area is just blank.

    First thing that I'd recommend to you is to revert back the A08 BIOS. A09 causes both drive bays to run at SATA 2. Also, make sure you have your SSD in bay 1 (the middle one).

    If by rating you mean Window Experience Index, I wouldn't worry about it too much since the score doesn't really mean much. If you're really intent on getting a WEI rating you can give this a try: External Link

    great! thanks! I went back to the A08 bios, and i followed the instructions in the external link. my comp got a 7.4. Processor was 7.4, RAM was 7.6, Graphics got 7.6, Gaming Graphics 7.6, and Primary hard disk got 7.9. any way to up that processor score a bit or nah? Just curious. thanks

    Not if you find the right deal on ebay...

    they were selling ES version 2920's (completely unlocked) for about $300 at shirley's (ebay) just a few months ago

    very nice! I only got a 7.7 for my CPU and 7.8 for RAM. Havent figured out how to get the BLCK to work again yet.
    I got the second to last one he sold and my system could not boot into windows. Had to return the chip but luckily someone else accepted my offer for an OEM version for $550.
