My r3 is arriving soon and i just left it at stock 4GB 1600mhz ram Im looking to buy 2x 4GB same speed but not sure about the timing, So my question is does anybody know the timings on stock alienware rams? or does it vary, because I would like to keep the stock 4gb and just add on to it. I did a some research here in the forum majority have 11-11-11-28 stock, with the Intel 2670m.
Lastly what is ram timings exactly?

Do you recommend just taking off the 4GB stock ram and just going with 2x 4GB of HyperX?

One you can just plug and play, the other one you have to go to bios and change the xmp settings.

Is that fine? What if the stock ram's cas latency is 11 and the HyperX Im planning on buying is 9 is that fine to mix them up? Will there be any preformance issues or them not being stable.
