    Hey guys,

I've been planning to set up three monitors to work with my M17x for a while now. I have two monitors in mind for the job, both are ultra high res:

UltraSharp U3011 30" Monitor with PremierColor Details
    Dell UltraSharp U2711 69cm (27

I have little clue as to whether my single graphics card will be able to run three of these beasts.
Originally I was going to be happy with just one (but who's ever happy with just one), would it work with the ultra high def?

Any tips and comments are welcome.

Directly from AMD's webpage for the 6990m:

    Cutting-edge integrated display support
    Dual-link DVI with HDCP12
    Max resolution: 2560x160013
    DisplayPort 1.2
    Max resolution: 2560x160013
    Multi-Stream Transport
    21.6 Gbps bandwidth
    High bit-rate audio
HDMI® 1.4a with Stereoscopic 3D Frame Packing Format, Deep Color, xvYCC wide gamut support, and high bit-rate audio
    Max resolution: 1920x120013
    VGA
    Max resolution: 2048x153613

What this means for you, is that IF you have Displayport / Dual-link DVI or VGA ports on the laptop, each of those should be capable of feeding one of those monitors.
Now I know you should have Displayport available. It should feed one of the monitors no problem. If I remember correctly you don't have dual-link DVI, and HDMI is not enough to drive that resolution, so your hope lies in using one monitor on displayport and one on VGA.

    Good luck :)
