    Hi guys,
So my m17x r3 first generation seem to be in front of death.
Yesterday, i start it normally and instead of starting, he give me 6 bips. ( repeat a cycle of 6 bip till a shut down myself the laptop )
I try everything like start with/without battery, hard reset, but nothing works.
This morning, instead of giving 6bips, he just start with black screen, keyboard light but after 1 second, he shut down, on battery, he do exactly the same but after 2 try, he just do nothing if i want to start it, like if i want to start without battery and without plugged.
Is my GPU ( gtx485m) and or not motherboard death?

    Thanks for any answers :)

The beeps mean something, been a while since I diagnosed with the POST beeps but i think 6 meant Faulty card or motherboard. Try re-seating all your RAM (or try less ram sticks), re-seating your GPU.

    Thanks for the answers,
So, if i remove both HDD, ram and GPU, i got 2 bip.
If i remove only the GPU, i got 8 BIP

    Is my motheboard broken?

I forgot to tell i got a 120HZ screen, so i cant start with intelHD

Also, i clean the GPU as i saw some dark grey oxidation between some resistors.
I put back everything, and when i start the laptop, a white smoke go out from the gpu. I remove power and battery immediately. The only good things is that my laptop can give a 8bip with battery or with sector.
Is my motherboard death or only gpu?
