Hello, been a reader on this forum for a few months let me just say this forum is extremely handy and the forumers here are very helpful . So here's my story .

I live in Singapore, Bought my Alienware M17x R3 in end of June, Came with a small scratch near the charging port . Have received numerous blue screen here and there, Green pixelated square pictures on screen while gaming so I thought it's time i call Dell to resolve the issues . Called on Tuesday, Thursday the engineer came to replace my speakers, graphics card and heat sink, guess what ? When the engineer switch on my laptop it was all white screen with 8 beeps sound afterwards, either the graphics died or my motherboard have some issues ( which there weren't any before he open ) so he was like I'll come another day to replace the parts again, another thing is he didn't fix my LCD hinge properly there was an obvious gap and he was like "it's like that" after he left, an hour later I tried switching it on, the laptop is totally "DEAD"

I have a Complete Care warranty as well so I would need some advise, thank you . Laptop is around 3-4 months old and it died after the engineer supposedly "fix" it .

this is very common...i won't let a dell tech touch my computer. They are more likely to make it worse than better.

unfortunately, with a dead computer, you have little choice but to have them come again. If it persists, dell has to give you a replacement

Actually, I knew letting a dell technician touching my laptop would make it worst but didn't expect it to be dead . Thanks for the advise, Just wish the next engineer wouldn't screw things up !

Apparently I tried to reason it out and request for replacement if they fail to fix the issue but the thing is, They said "There's no such thing as replacement" hmmm .

i guess things are done differently in Singapore. Here, if a brand new computer requires motherboard, vid card and whatever else...and they have to come back to do it a second time, there is a very good chance they will give you a replacement if you push hard enough. There is no excuse for a new computer to be like that

I'll try to reach the unresolve department if the issue isn't fix .
