Hi all. Got an issue with my M17x.

7 Bleeps sound on startup resulting in no POST or boot up, just keyboard lights coming on, and the alien charge light.

It was fine one minute browsing but looked like it crashed, so hard reset it with this error occurring.

As I understand it is a Processor error, so have tried reseating it, along with taking the RAM out and trying each individually in each slot (incase this was causing an error, but don't have any spares on hand). Also tried it on battery only, AC only and both plugged in, all to no avail.

Now, as the error is occurring still I am abit stumped as to what the issue is.

    Any ideas, advice or suggestions?

    Thanks

have you tried a power drain or removing the motherboard battery.

Great suggestion, but unfortunately it hasn't worked.

Any more ideas? Looks like I'm going to have to extend the warranty if I can.
