    Hi,

    I've got an M17x R3 with a Radeon 6970m gfx card.

Since this morning I have had nothing on the built in LCD screen (no POST messages and nothing in Windows). External monitor still works.

    Tried:
    Booting without discrete graphics card
    CMOS reset
    Re-install DELL Radeon drivers
    BIOS update to A10

The Alienware logo at the bottom of the screen lights up and so does the alien on the back of the lid.

The LCD panel is detected in the Catalyst Control Centre as 1920x1080.

I've stripped it down now and the LCD is a 0MGNC7 (WLED).

I'm about to order a replacement LCD but is there anything else it could be? Perhaps the inverter (I don't know where this is found).

    Any help appreciated.

    Many thanks,

    Chris

You've already done pretty much everything that could be done but it does seem like the LCD is dead :/. If you need help getting the part send us an email at [email protected], I'll set up a callback and we can take it from there. I'd just need the service tag and a good phone number to reach you.

    Cheers,

    Luis
